The Fault in Our Stars Title Sequence

The Fault in Our Stars is a wonderful book written by John Green. I love his novels and the emotional attachment you get to the characters. The book is tragically beautiful, and that’s the type of art direction I wanted to bring into the title sequence. Most of the imagery is based on the quotes and symbols in the novel.

The actual Fault in our Stars movie came out last summer and there was much buzz building abround it since they wrapped up filming. John Green and his brother Hank are actively engaged with fans on social media sites such as Youtube and Tumblr. My idealistic, far fetched goal was to get the author of this amazing book to actually see what I created. I was successful! I now over 30,000 views on Vimeo.
